Disney Cruise Line’s newest private island retreat, Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, officially welcomed its first guests on June 10, 2024. Nestled on the stunning southern tip of Eleuthera in The Bahamas, this breathtaking destination blends the natural beauty and vibrant culture of the islands with a sprinkle of Disney magic. Lookout Cay will begin welcoming guests in June 2024, with select itineraries sailing from Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral. These are mostly Bahamian and Caribbean cruises aboard the Disney Magic, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy.
Some sailings even include a “double dip” stop, letting you visit both Lookout Cay and Castaway Cay on the same itinerary—a dream come true for Disney Cruise fans! We were lucky enough to sail on a 4-night itinerary aboard the Disney Wish that included both stops, and let me tell you—it was incredible!

While Castaway Cay focuses on relaxation and beach fun, Lookout Cay is all about cultural immersion and environmental appreciation.
Note About the Pier: Unlike Castaway Cay, there’s a longer pier walk to reach the main part of Lookout Cay. While it’s not too strenuous, it is fully exposed to the sun—so plan accordingly. Disney does offer complimentary wagons near the gangway, which are super handy for hauling beach gear or giving little ones a lift. Just something to be aware of before you head off the ship!

From personal experience: bike rentals sold out quickly on our cruise since we booked late. If this is on your must-do list, reserve your bikes as soon as bookings open to avoid missing out! Walking wasn't a terrible option though, although we wish we were able to explorer more.
